Objectives of the Course Public art has begun to be included in planning as part of urban renewal projects aimed at creating a sense of space and space identity. In this way, it has been observed that a more permanent effect on the city is left in the memories. The work of art, which is an element that evokes feelings, enlivens emotions and attracts attention, enables people to establish a relationship with and define that space. Unlike the art displayed in the galleries, public art is unique to the area in which it is made and creates a meaning in interaction with its audience. The aim of this course is to examine the works that reveal this difference.
Course Content Public art is a tool used in the preservation and development of artistic and urban value, and in making positive interpersonal communication and human-environment interaction in urban space.
